Founding members lock in early pricing
Before you ask.
Is anyone getting charged today?
No. Sereal is invite-only alpha and nothing is billed yet. The current plan is $9.99/month for founding members, with standard pricing moving to $12.99/month after general availability.
What stays free?
The core collection tools — cataloging, Showcase, and wishlist — stay free through alpha. If you ever stop paying for Operator, your collection doesn’t disappear; the decision tools just switch off.
Is the free/Operator line final?
Not yet — Sereal’s in alpha and we’re still settling exactly which tools live in Operator. Two things won’t move: everyone in the alpha today keeps full access, and founding members lock founding pricing on whatever Operator becomes.
Cards and comics both?
Yes. Cards are furthest along; comics run the same comp, grading, and sell-desk flow, with a few corners still filling in.
Why charge at all?
The decision engine leans on live comps and eBay data that cost real money to keep fresh. Operator covers that so the numbers you’re deciding on aren’t two seasons old.
